WHY we buy bulk

Our goal is to bring high quality pantry foods & produce to the Sea to Sky, at the best possible price. We work for those who purchase from us and for those we buy the food from.

Why We Live This Way

  • How We Purchase Our Core Foods

    Reduces Additives

On average, we ingest 100-200ml of food additives every day. There are over 10,000 approved additives.

  • Who We Buy Our Food From

    Reduces Pesticides

On average, we’re exposed to 200-300 pesticides annually and consume
    1-2 mg daily through food.

  • How We Store So Much Food

    Reduces Contact

We apply 126 chemicals to our skin daily, which disrupt our hormones as they enter our bloodstream.

  • Reduces Exposure

Cleaning supplies and household products expose our skin and lungs to hundreds of synthetics.

  • Reduces Plastic

Every day, we are exposed to plastic, which has a long-term cumulative impact on our health.

Benefits of buying bulk

How we purchase food for our homes, it the simplest and cleanest way to eat.

  • Less Processing

Buying in bulk skips a processing step, keeping dry ingredients closer to their natural state & reducing contamination from plastics and metals.

  • It's "real" food

Raw ingredients are the foundation of store-bought foods. Cooking them yourself or buying from trusted local sources is the only way to truly eat clean.

  • Organizes Your Kitchen

Buying bulk let’s you see what you have in your kitchen at all times, not to mention that these ingredients are the foundation to make most foods.

  • Saves Time

Buying in bulk helps you plan meals, eliminating constant trips to the store and allowing you to focus on cooking larger quantities with whole ingredients.

  • Reduces waste

Once you get used to having an empty garbage can, you become aware of just how much plastic packaging processed food really has.

  • It's Flexible

Our planner helps you stock your pantry, ensuring you have meals ready to pull from your stash for the times you don’t feel like cooking.

About our ingredients

  • Bulk usually means between 10 & 25 lbs for dried goods or large sizes of ready-made foods.

  • Yes! We are currently working on this for 2025.

  • The supply chain for imported goods can be hard to predict because of weather conditions and how much crops produce. We always try to keep our store updated with the latest info from our suppliers. However, sometimes the country where the goods come from changes, and we only find out when we receive the products.

    • Organic products are certified by an official organization.

    • Natural items are grown like organic produce but lack certification, often due to the high costs for small farms.

    • Conventional refers to non-organic products.

  • Please note that our suppliers work with a range of farmers who may experience different weather conditions. As a result, the quality of products we receive could vary with each order.

  • We're focusing exclusively on organic food because these farming methods preserve soil quality, essential for our ability to produce food.

  • All the businesses we partner with are owned by Canadians living in the Lower Mainland. We buy all imported foods from local sources because we think it's vital to reinvest our earnings back into the Lower Mainland community.
